To foster young entrepreneurship, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PT Platinum Wahab Nusantara (TEGUK) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The MoU was signed directly between Menpora Dito and the CEO of TEGUK Indonesia Maulana Hakim.
TEGUK Indonesia operates in the Food and Beverage sector and is categorized as A or very good. TEGUK now has 161 outlets across Indonesia and has successfully expanded to New York, USA.
“Today we received the President Commissioner of TEGUK Indonesia Najib Wahab Mauluddin and the CEO of TEGUK Indonesia Maulana Hakim along with their team. Their visit is to support the Ministry of Youth and Sports' youth entrepreneurship program,” he said.
“‘TEGUK Drinks’ is a local brand in the Food and Beverage sector with 161 outlets, including one in New York. They have been there (New York) for almost a year and are managing to stay afloat. This is a youth brand that deserves our appreciation,” he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy for Youth Entrepreneurship, Hendro Wicaksono, mentioned that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has a Youth Entrepreneurship Program. “This program can drive and inspire the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth,” he said.
Through the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, intelligent, character-driven, and entrepreneurial youth will be formed, who will eventually become successful young entrepreneurs and job creators. “We hope that TEGUK Indonesia can contribute to growing young entrepreneurs. This way, there will be many other young entrepreneurs like the owner of TEGUK Drinks,” he concluded.
CEO of TEGUK Indonesia Maulana Hakim expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. “Thank you, sir and madam. It is an honor for us to be at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and to be warmly welcomed by the Ministry's staff,” he said.
On this occasion, Maulana shared the origins of TEGUK. According to him, TEGUK started as a Thai tea outlet, with its foundation based on the public’s habit of purchasing packaged drinks.
“With the development and emergence of various beverage brands in Indonesia, TEGUK has been present since 2018 as a pioneer in the Food and Beverage business, focusing on selling a variety of trendy drinks, both local and international,” he said.
He further welcomed the collaboration in the field of entrepreneurship. “I welcome this collaboration. However, we will first explore to see what facilities are available and identify potential areas,” he explained. TEGUK will also be listed on the IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) on July 10, 2023, under the stock code TGUK.
